Payment Terms

Effective Date: October 2, 2026

These Payment Terms ("Terms") apply to all transactions between you ("Customer") and BOHAN Machines Limited ("we," "us," or "our") and govern all payments for goods and/or services.

1. Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following forms of payment:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express (Credit card payments are subject to processing fee of 3.5%, which will be shown to you before you pay)
  • PayPal
  • Interac e-Transfer (Canada only)
  • Bank Transfer / Wire Transfer
  • Other: Apple Pay, Klarna, etc.

All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise specified.

2. Payment Timing

  • Retail (E-commerce) Orders: Full payment is due at the time of purchase. Orders will not be processed or shipped until payment is received.
  • Wholesale / B2B Accounts:
  • Net 15 / Net 30 terms may be available upon approval.
  • Overdue amounts bear interest at 1.5% per month (18% per year) from the due date until paid, or the maximum rate permitted by law if lower.
  • Deposits: For custom or bulk orders, a deposit of 80% may be required at the time of order, with the balance due prior to shipping or delivery.

3. Taxes and Duties

  • Canadian orders are subject to applicable federal and provincial sales taxes (GST/HST/PST).
  • International customers are responsible for any customs duties, VAT, import taxes, or brokerage fees at the destination.

4. Currency & Exchange Rates

All transactions are charged in CAD unless otherwise stated. If you are paying from outside Canada, your financial institution may apply a currency conversion and/or international transaction fee, for which we are not responsible.

5. Invoice Disputes

If you believe there is an error in your invoice:

  • Notify us within 5 business days of receipt.
  • Undisputed amounts must still be paid on time.
  • We will investigate and resolve any discrepancies promptly.

6. Failed or Reversed Payments

  • If a payment fails or is reversed (e.g., chargeback or NSF), you remain responsible for the original amount plus any applicable administrative or bank fees.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or cancel orders or accounts for unpaid balances.
  • We may charge a reasonable administrative fee, plus any fees our bank or payment processor charges us, for each failed, reversed or charged-back payment
  • Before you start a chargeback, please contact us; we will contest chargebacks that are unjustified and may recover our costs

7. Refunds & Cancellations

Refer to our Refund and Return Policy for details on eligible refunds. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method only.

8. Marketplace Payments

For jobs arranged through the BOHAN marketplace, BOHAN collects payment from the customer as the specialist’s limited payment-collection agent, and a customer’s payment to BOHAN discharges the customer’s obligation to the specialist for that amount. The specialist’s hourly rate plus BOHAN’s platform fee make up the price the customer sees. Platform fees are earned on the amounts invoiced for a job, including any cancellation charges, and are non-refundable except at our discretion. Approved jobs are invoiced after the customer approves completion (or after five business days without a written dispute). The Marketplace Terms of Use apply to these payments and prevail over this document if they conflict.

9. Collection and Suspension

  • You must pay our reasonable costs of collecting overdue amounts, including legal fees on a solicitor-and-own-client basis
  • We may set off amounts you owe us against amounts we owe you
  • We may suspend services, withhold deliveries, hold orders or restrict accounts with overdue balances, without liability to you to the extent the law allows
  • Payments are applied first to costs and interest, then to the oldest invoice

10. Consumer Rights

If you are an individual buying or using services for personal, family or household purposes, the rights you have under consumer protection and sale-of-goods law that cannot be waived or limited by contract are not affected by these terms. Nothing in these terms is intended to reduce those rights, and these terms apply to you only to the extent the law allows.
